Eileen Chong
Eileen Chong is a Sydney poet. Her poems have appeared in journals such as Meanjin, Overland, HEAT, and the Australian Book Review, as well as in The Best Australian Poems 2010. She studied extensively under the poet Judith Beveridge at Sydney University. Eileen won the Poets Union Youth Fellowship for 2010-2011 and is mentored by Anthony Lawrence. Her chapbook will be published by Australian Poetry at the end of 2011. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Creative Arts at the University of Western Sydney with the critic and publisher Ivor Indyk and the poet and musician Kate Fagan.
